Industrial ApplicationsWhat affects the selection of filter media
The right fabric must balance flow, particle capture, filter cake formation, mechanical resistance and durability. Therefore, we assess the entire process, not just the nominal fineness of the filtration.
For the design, we need in particular:
- composition of the liquid or suspension and particle size
- operating temperature, pH and chemical load
- device type, dimensions and method of attachment of the element
- working pressure, required flow rate and cycle length
- required filtrate purity and filter cake properties
